The Cori wineries: Cincinnato and Marco Carpineti

The area has its own appellation, Cori DOC, with two grapes you will not find anywhere else: white Bellone and red Nero Buono. Cincinnato, a 1947 cooperative with a restaurant looking out over the vines, is right on the Cisterna–Cori road. Marco Carpineti, organic since 1994, ages its wines in terracotta amphorae. Both run tours with tastings, by appointment.

Casale del Giglio

The best-known winery in the Agro Pontino, at Le Ferriere, beside the ruins of Satricum. The tour crosses vineyards and Mediterranean gardens and ends with a tasting of five wines paired with local dishes. All year round, by appointment, in several languages.

For the adventurous: one of the longest ziplines in Europe, 2,225 metres of cable 310 metres above the valley. You fly face down, like a falcon, for 72 seconds at over 150 km/h. By appointment.
